Scott Long gets ready to impress NFL

Although the University of Louisville wide receiver Scott Long had been an under-the-radar draft prospect, he has also been preparing for a chance to impress the NFL scouts. The chance is the strong NFL scouting combine next week.

According to a league source, the 6-foot-2, 215-pounder is expected to catch NFL scouts’ attention by running the 40-yard dash in the 4.3 range next week as well as registering a 40-inch vertical leap and benching press 225 pounds between 20 and 30 repetitions.

As a college player, Long did a good job by posting 91 passes for 1,286 yards and four touchdowns in his whole college career and catching a career-high 53 passes for 727 yards and two touchdowns last season. Hopefully he could give perfect performance next week to have the chance of putting on NFL jerseys as a professional athlete.
