Browns OG Hadnot injured in practice

Rex Hadnot, Cleveland Browns guard, who started 15 games for the Browns last season, was carted off the practice field after he was hurt on the left knee on Thursday.

The accident happened while he was trying to pass blocking during team drills. A collision happened between the 6-foot-2, 320-pound guard and defensive lineman Louis Leonard when rookie linebacker David Veikune got pushed into the outside of Hadnot’s left knee.

The injury seemed to be serious for Hadnot was in obvious pain when he crumpled to the grass. The team medical personnel soon rushed to assist him and carried him off the field.

It is still unsure when Hadnot can return to field and continue competition with veteran Eric Steinbac for the starting left guard job.
