49ers rookie WR Crabtree preparing for NFL debut

The San Francisco 49ers is hoping that Michael Crabtree, the team’s rookie wide receiver and top draft pick, to finish all his football studying before doing any interviews Thursday. They are expecting the rookie receiver to make his debut in official NFL jersey at Houston in his home state.

After a prolonged contract impasse, the 49ers signed Crabtree with a six-year contract with $17 million guaranteed on Oct. 7th. That’s why his debut has become highly anticipated-everybody is eager to see what kind of impact the former Texas Tech star can make after missing all of spring work and training camp.

The 22-year-old Crabtree did not laze before and after signing contract. 49ers Coach Mike Singletary said Wednesday that Crabtree’s performance during practice showed that he had been working while negotiating the contract. And Crabtree spent more time than his teammates on working after joining the team. While many of his teammates went home for a break during the 49ers’ bye week, Crabtree was still working out on the field to prepare his NFL debut. Hopefully Crabtree, who will play a lot against the Texans, will give his best performance and prove he is worth the money.
