Unsigned 49ers rookie Crabtree caused slow pace of contract talks between Maybin and Bills

According to former NFL linebacker LaVar Arringto, unsigned first-round draft pick Michael Crabtree is one of the factors that slow down contract talks between rookie defensive end Aaron Maybin and the Buffalo Bills.

Arrington, who is also Maybin's publicist and friend, told The Associated Press on Tuesday that Crabtree's stalled negotiations caused Maybin to miss the first two weeks of training camp and the Bills' preseason opener against the Tennessee Titans last weekend, because Maybin's value is hard to determine with Crabtree, or to be exactly, four of the five players selected ahead of Maybin, remaining unsigned.

It was said that Maybin is growing frustrated tired of defending himself against critics who question why he's not signed. Bills linebacker Kawika Mitchell and safety Donte Whitner supported him by posting tweets of their own.
