The Green Bay Packers made an announcement on Friday that they presented Wrightstown High School with a $250,000 grant. The grant will be used to help finish the school’s new football stadium.
It was the Packers Foundation who awarded the grant, with funds secured through the NFL Club Matching Youth Football Field/Stadium Grant Program, and it was the first time Packers grant was in conjunction specifically with the program. The school has already raised some money for building the stadium, and the grant is going to match that money. The whole project includes seating for 1,200, a scoreboard, fencing around the facility, an entry gate and expansion of the restrooms.
The Packers have secured $825,000 in Grants for youth and prep fields since 1998. The grant to Wrightstown High School was the Packers’ eighth grant for Wisconsin organizations working on new or renovated athletic fields and stadiums.
