The New York Jets have signed free agent offensive tackle Nevin McCaskill, who was on the Green Bay Packers’ active roster last December.
McCaskill has been inactive for three games and was waived by the Packers last Monday.
Before joining the Packers, the 6-foot-4, 300-pound lineman was signed as a free agent by Buffalo in July 2007 and spent time on the Bills’ practice squad that season. He was in training camp last summer with Buffalo, but he was waived before the regular season. He did not ever consider possibility of putting on 49ers jersey.
