Jaguars signed with draft pick Thomas and cut ties with Lowry

Latest news from the Associated Press says that the Jacksonville Jaguars have signed fourth-round draft pick wide receiver Mike Thomas and released defensive back Calvin Lowry.

The Jaguars selected nine draft picks this year, and Thomas is the second of the nine selections to sign a contract.

Before signing with the Jaguars, Thomas played as a starter at Arizona of receiver and return specialist for four years. He finished as the Pac-10's all-time leader in receptions with 259. He was also the third in school history with 3,231 yards receiving and 23 touchdowns.

Lowry, who was signed by the Jaguars in December, had been inactive for the final two games. Before the Jaguars, he played in 43 games for Tennessee and Denver. Maybe he will have chance to wear dallas cowboys jersey after being released.
