The Minnesota Vikings are not actually in need of a new wide receiver, but they just feel like trying more options before the game days. Therefore, former Washington Redskins wide receiver Marko Mitchell got his chance to see if he can receive some passes from the big-name quarterback in No.4 Brett Favre jersey.
Before he was invited to Minnesota, Mitchell was just claimed off waivers by the Detroit Lions. The former seventh-round draft pick began his NFL career by joining the Redskins in 2009 during the draft. He was productive enough for the Redskins last summer and many people believed that he was talented and could develop into a great wide receiver. However, as a rookie, Mitchell could hardly compete for much playing time with a team full of veterans. After having only appearance in ten games during 2009 regular season, Mitchell was eventually released by the Redskins shortly after the team brought in younger receivers after the 2010 NFL draft.
Mitchell was firstly signed by the Lions, who waived him a few days later, and now the Vikings also want to try the second-year pro out to see what he can to for the team. With a height of 6-4 and weight of 218 pounds, Mitchell is believed to be better as a running back. But anyway, he is going to try his chance as receiver before considering turning to a back.

Are you too visible?
In order to achieve success in a career, an important step is to make you visible to your boss or managers. Any expert would advise that ensuring your manager’s awareness of your contribution on the job is important, but be careful, you might be too visible to make good impressions.
Some people like do everything possible to impress managers. They talk with managers in impressive way, imitating managers’ habits, sharing hobbies with managers and they are always seen wearing the same Saints jerseys with their managers to show that they are in the same world with the managers. When talking about contributions, such people like to devaluate coworkers’ work while emphasizing a lot on their own contributions. Such people might succeed in impressing managers, but the resentments they build among coworkers will eventually send him out of the office, because managers are no fools and they would not ignore all other employees’ feeling to put an offensive guy in important position.
To increase your visibility, it’s also important to build up good relationship with people around you. Acknowledge others’ contributions will not affect your own value. On contrary, your humbleness will make people feel you a great guy not only doing good job but also good at improving the whole team.

Human fights against a dog for inheriting luxury mansion
Conchita could be one of the richest dog in the world as she inherited a seven-bedroom, $8.3 million Miami Beach mansion from her late owner, Gail Posner, a daughter of the corporate takeover artist Victor Posner. She is so rich that even human beings envy her and want to take the wealth away from her.
Ms. Posner died in March at age 67 and left Conchita and two other dogs the mansion in her will. Ms. Posner had a $3 million trust fund to ensure her beloved dogs’ comfort. She also left about $26 million to staff members, including seven bodyguards, housekeepers and personal aides. Some of the staffs were even allowed to live in the mansion without having to pay for rent as Ms. Posner wanted them to take care of the dogs. It’s reasonable for a lady loves dog so much. Ms. Posner used to take Conchita everywhere and brought her different clothes from Archie Manning jersey to Chanel dress. If the story ends by this, it would sound like a fairy story and the dog princess is very likely to become the heroine of some romantic novel. However, as we can expect, human society will not allow such a story end like this.
Ms. Posner’s only living child, Bret Carr inherited only 1 million according to his mother's will, and he thought it was unfair for receiving so much less than a dog. Mr. Carr filed a lawsuit against Conchita and a bevy of his mother's former staff members and advisers, claiming that they conspired to steal his mother’s assets. In 2007 a similar lawsuit resulted in a pet’s inherited wealth being reduced by 10 million (from 12 million to 2 million) and the court considered it improper for legitimate heirs to inherit little or nothing.

Sea turtle found lost camera
An interesting video film recently spread on internet. It was about a sea turtle playing with a lost camera. What was interesting was that the video was not made by any human being but the turtle itself. The camera was lost by a Dutch sailor and was eventually found by an US Coast Guard agent.
The Coast Guard agent found the camera in a waterproof case on a beach in Key West, Florida. After he posted some of the images memorized in the chip on the Internet to look for the owner, he found the chip also recorded a video of a sea turtle playing with the camera. It seemed that the sea animal at first took the camera as some kind of food and tried to bite it. It surely found it too hard to bite and gave up efforts but somehow it coincidently made belt go around its neck and began to drag the camera while swimming from Aruba to Key West.
The Coast Guard agent also found a picture of a man wearing Brett Favre jersey and posted it on Flickr in attempts to find the camera’s owner. It worked and the owner was surprised by the return of his beloved camera, especially after knowing the story about the turtle.

Why do you just hate them?
During our lives in the world, most of us keep controlling ourselves not to be bad with other people. We are taught to be kind but it seems that there are always people who do not follow principles and you can’t control yourself to hate them. You have some of them so much that you cannot say a single word with them or even hear a world from them.
I know several such persons and I keep asking myself why I have to hate them. They are not actually bad people and they always do something annoying me. Everything they do sucks, every word they say is unbearable. My response to their unfavorable behavior is always to ignore anything they try to let me notice. An effective way to calm myself down is to keep telling myself that that’s nothing of my business. I live my life and they live theirs, if I allow their annoying words or behaviors to affect my own mood, it’s only myself to blame and they will just stay excited about knowing your weak points.
I have to learn smiling to the people I hate most and appear to be friendly with everyone. I even have to learn to share my beloved Brett Favre jersey with the people I hate most in the world so that I can stay invulnerable by even making friends with enemies. That’s a life lesson we have to study hard to understand the real meaning and earn as most as possible.

Cowboys rehearse Super Bowl at Cowboys Stadium
The title is just a joke. But the scene was really like that was Super Bowl game. Every time when a starter appeared, fans at the sideline cheered aloud. They cheered for quarterback Tony Romo’s arrival, then for wide receiver Miles Austin, and they cheered even louder when rookie receiver Dez Bryant caught his first long touchdown pass.
Scene of Bryant wearing number 88 catching the pass reminded the fans of the former wearer of the number, legendary wide receiver Michael Irvin. Wearing the Number 88 Michael Irvin jersey, Irvin led the Cowboys to three Super Bowl victories, so when the team gave the number to rookie Bryant, it meant a high expectation on him. The Cowboys have not made any Super Bowl appearance since 1995, and a lot of people expect the team to reach the Super Bowl XLV following the 2010 season.
Another link between the weekend practice and the Super Bowl is that the Cowboys Stadium will hold the Super Bowl XLV game in early 2011, so practicing in the stadium just gives the team a feeling of rehearsing for the Super Bowl.

Teacher asked her only black student to leave classroom
Nowadays racism is so widely criticized that any inappropriate deeds to a colored person would cause huge controversy. No matter how legit your reason for the deed is, you will just be called racist and criticized for doing the wrong things.
Such a story happened in an elementary school, where a teacher claimed that she was allergic to a hair product used by the only black student in her class. She asked the student to leave the class from and later asked the school officials to put the eight-year-old girl in a different class. What made things worse was that they seemed to forget to tell the student’s parents about the move. So when the parents got to know it, they were feeling insulted and field a complaint against the school and teacher.
While the school denied that the teach did that because of racism, they admitted she dealt with the issue in a wrong way. That was agreed by many people. Asking the only black student to leave the class room because of her hair just caused all other white students to feel that the black student is different, strange and perhaps dangerous. Many Minnesota Vikings student fans wear their beloved Favre jerseys for days without having a shower during regular season, but they are seldom expelled from the classroom. But what f there is only one such student and he happens to be a black? Ask yourself this question and check whether you are anti-racist or racist.
